I still can remember the first time I met Erika. Sitting across from one another a little corner table for coffee at Caribou Coffee in Brier Creek. We met and talked about her wedding plans and what she envisioned for her and Jay’s wedding day. Laughing we talking about venues, vendors, dresses and all the other little details that go into planning a wedding day. Little did we know then, but May 2020 would look absolutely NOTHING like either of us could ever imagine.
COVID-19 was changing so much around us. With so little information we were all unsure of what Erika + Jay’s wedding day would look like when May finally got here. Everything was up in the air but both Erika and Jay knew that despite everything they wanted to be married. No matter what that looked like.
Erika and Jay had a desire to get married that outweighed their desire to have a big elaborate party. Once you meet them it is so easy to understand why. They are so in love. Watching them interact with one another during their engagement session and again on their wedding day left me in awe. I could go on and on about how much I adore these two and wish them nothing but a lifetime of love and happiness. Instead, I’ll cut right to it and share some images from their beautiful and intimate wedding day!
