Classic Spring Wedding at Highgrove Estate in North Carolina

Alli and Evan’s April wedding at the Highgrove Estate was the perfect start to my 2025 wedding season. Highgrove Estate is the perfect venue for that classic + timeless wedding feel. Tucked in Fuquay Varina, NC the Highgrove provided the perfect touch for theirSpring wedding day. It’s always a favorite of mine to photograph at because of all the venue has to offer. The gorgeous manor house, the ceremony site overlooking rolling hills, the gardens and a beautiful reception hall to finish the night in.

For Alli and Evan’s wedding day we got to use a little bit of everything Highgrove has to offer. The day started with the girls getting ready at a cute cottage before heading over. While they were getting ready I started with all the beautiful details Alli had for me to capture. I absolutely adored their invitations with the picture of the venue on there. It was such a fun touch!

Once everyone was dressed and ready it was time to knock out as many photos as we could before the ceremony. This way Alli and Evan would have as much time to mingle with family as friends as possible post ceremony.

Outdoor Ceremony

After knocking out as many photos prior to the ceremony as we could it was time for the wedding party to head inside for a moment to refresh and rest before the ceremony start. The ceremony was held at out in the back under the Highgroves classic arches. It is a true must and such a magical space. Although you are in Fuquay-Varina you feel as if you are at a wedding in the NC mountains. There are so many special moments from their ceremony that I love. One being how Alli had both her mom and dad walk with her down the aisle. It is so important for couples to break the normal traditions and do what feels special for them. Adding your own personal touches allows for your wedding day to feel more special and uniquely yours.

Of course after the ceremony we spent time getting some gorgeous just married portraits! These are always some of my favorite moments from the day. I love making sure we grab beautiful photos of just the two of you but making sure we leave time for enjoying a quiet moment to yourselves or heading to cocktail hour to mingle with guests.

Reception Time!

Once the reception starts I love getting to watch each couple relax into the evening and have the night of their lives with their guests. Alli and Evan had such a fun group of friends and family celebrating them and it made for a fun night on the dance floor! The DJ, Stylus Events, did such a good job of keeping everyone out there until the end with Alli and Evan’s private dance. A for the grand finale it was a sparkler exit with one of Roger’s Classic Cars waiting for them to drive off into the night in!
