Hannah and Davis get married exactly one week from today! We are officially in the count day stages of their wedding day and I am so excited to celebrate the two of them this upcoming Saturday!
Hannah is actually the sister of a past ANP bride and I’m so honored I was chosen to capture another wedding day for this family.
Hannah asked me to shoot somewhere different from my “usual” locations for their engagement session and I was all in. While I have a list of beautiful places to go in and around the triangle area I’m always super excited when a couple asks me to step outside that list. Captuing them somewhere that has meaning to them. For Hannah and Davis that looked like traveling to Durant Road Nature preserve in Raleigh. Hannah grew up coming here and as both her and Davis are the outdoorsy and adventurous it made perfect sense to have their engagement session here.
You can see they were totally in their element!
My goal during each session is to give my couples the direction needed to help them feel like pros in front of the camera. But also giving them the space needed to feel like they can be themselves. That is the secret to creating those beautiful, fun, candid pictures that everyone loves so much.
Hannah and Davis were the type that needed no help feeling like themselves in front of the camera. Everything they did was just naturally beautiful. The way they interacted with one another just showed how comfortable they felt in the other’s presence. The way Davis pulled Hannah in close or the way her eyes light up when she looks at him. It is so clear they are home when their other half is near.
For their session we started in a little clearing by the parking lot. Then took a little walk down the trail and across the creek. It was so fun to go off and do something different. I think these images really sum up the connection these two share.
I’m so excited to share a sneak into the session. Keep scrolling to check it out!
