I was so honored to have to privilege of working with my sweet friend, Annie to capture this beautiful wedding day at the gorgeous Old Lystra Inn in Chapel Hill, NC. It is the sweetest little venue tucked away in the charming town of Chapel Hill and it made for the most beautiful venue for John and Riann’s wedding day.

It was a rainy day but it still so beautiful. Riann got ready with her bridesmaids downstairs. The girls each had their own cute robe and so of course we had to capture a picture of them in it! When it was time to get dressed Riann had her mother help to get into her dress. I always love these images because it is such a sweet moment between mother and daughter! After getting dressed the girls headed out for their bridesmaids pictures while the boys were finishing up getting ready upstairs. The guys were having such a good time hanging out together and the rain seemed to phase no one!

The rain held off for most of the morning but by the time the ceremony had rolled around dark storm clouds were quickly approaching! I will never forget their ceremony because just as Riann had come down the aisle the thunder picked up and it was so incredibly loud! Luckily the ceremony went off without a hitch in the reception tent and the pair became husband and wife, surrounded by all their friends and family! The two couldn’t stop smiling at each other – it was precious!

Afterwards, the rain drizzled but stopped enough for the opportunity to grab some shots around the venue. John and Riann make such a beautiful couple and it was such a joy being able to come alongside them to help capture their day!
