Ask me to head to the beach and you won’t get a quicker, “Yes!” from anyone else out there! I LOVE a good beach trip. Sun beating on the dashboard, music floating out of an open car window while salt air fills your nostrils and I am in my happy place. It was a no brain-er when Brook reached out to have her engagement session at Atlantic Beach – of course I said YES!
Even though we scheduled the session for a February afternoon, I was hopefully that the weather gods of NC would smile upon us and we would have one of those random sunny and 70 degree days that NC likes to dish out here and there at random. We had no such luck. The weather channels called for rain pretty much the entire week but after keeping an eye out and talking with Brook we decided to take our chances and stick with the date.
As Zack and I got closer to the coast it got foggier and foggier. I was starting to worry that the thick fog would make it difficult for my camera to capture any clear images and the light drizzle that had started was really putting a damper on my mood.
Well, I am happy to report that the rain and fog didn’t ruin their session and I honestly am SO incredibly happy with the way their session turned out! It wasn’t what Brook or I had pictured when we scheduled their session, but I think that is the beauty of it! Brides and even grooms worry about rain or unfavorable weather on their wedding days but let this be a testament that you can still get stunning images without having that sunshine glow!
